Dear patients,
welcome to the ICGH – a virtual collaboration and research platform. We bring together experts from various fields to better understand gastrointestinal diseases and to contribute to the development of novel, personalized treatment approaches. Our research focuses on: Hirschsprung disease, chronic inflammatory bowel diseases, and irritable bowel syndrome.
Please note: The ICGH is currently a research-based initiative only. This means we unfortunately cannot offer direct patient consultations through the ICGH itself.
However, if you are experiencing symptoms or need medical advice, you are very welcome to contact the clinics and practices that are part of the ICGH:
- For chronic inflammatory bowel diseases or general digestive issues, please contact Prof. Dr. Robert Ehehalt (Gastroenterology Practice, Heidelberg; info@hd-gastro.de).
- For questions about Hirschsprung disease, reach out to PD Dr. Philipp Romero (Division of Paediatric Surgery, Heidelberg University Hospital; philipp.romero@med.uni-heidelberg.de).
- Prof. Dr. Annika Gauss (Department of Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine IV, Heidelberg University Hospital; annika.gauss@med.uni-heidelberg.de) is also available for concerns related to chronic inflammatory bowel diseases.
- If you are dealing with irritable bowel syndrome/irritable stomach, or unexplained abdominal symptoms, you can use the patient contact form of the University Hospital Heidelberg to get in touch with the Clinic for General Internal Medicine and Psychosomatics (please mention: appointment request for General Internal Medicine Outpatient Clinic/irritable bowel syndrome consultation).
You can also contact us directly via the contact form on our website.
If you’re interested in participating in current research studies, you’ll find more information under the section “News & Press Releases”.
